Veroor Sree Dharmashastha Temple:- The Legendary Diety of Lord Ayappa

The centuries old Veroor Sree Dharmashasta Temple has been a spiritual and holistic healing for thousands within and outside Kerala.The Holiness of the Swayamboo (self originated) idol of Sree Dharma Shastha - the true preserver, cherished proseperity to the entire vicinity and the devotees, who bow the Holy feet of the Lord, throughout the year. True faith in Veroor Shastha provide spiritual awakening to the masses. Caste or religion would not prevent the temple entry.
The temple is situated in Vadakekara, within the Changanacherry town limit, close to MC road. The Upadevathas are Lord Ganapathi, Mahadevan, Mahavishnu, Nagarajavu, Bhoothathan, Yekshi, Bhagavathy, Rekshassu and Brahma Rekshasu. The Idols of the Vedan and his wife, who found the Idol is situated outside the temple premises.

The favourite and most important vazhipadu of Sree Dharmashastha is Ada Nivedhyam, which is the first Nivedhyam done at the time of the discovery of the Idol. Devotees offer Ada Nivedhyam to Dharmashasthvu for fulfillment of their desire. Vella Nivedhyam is the main Vazhipadu of Bhagavathy. The main festival of Veroor Sree Dharmashasthavu is conducted during the malayalam month of Khumbam, on Uthram Nakshathram.
The temple is under the management of Nair Service Society(NSS).
